Eastpoint library has new technology to help vision impaired readers

If you have vision problems, but still love to read, you might want to make a stop at the Eastpoint Library.
Library director Anne Birchwell said the Eastpoint branch of the Franklin County Public Library is now home to a DaVinci Pro CC unit.
The DaVinci is a high performance desktop video magnifier that not only magnifies text up to 77 times, but also does text-to-speech so it can read to you.
The library purchased the unit using grant money.
The machine is for library patrons with poor vision and for senior citizens who may be losing their sight.

You can check it out for yourself at the Eastpoint Branch of the library on Hickory Dip Road.
