2 Apalachicola residents arrested on drug and other charges



                Two Apalachicola residents were arrested on August the 25th on multiple drug charges.

The Franklin County Narcotics Unit arrested Roger G Williams and Tonya Fowler at a home on Cornelius Rizer Street.

Sheriff’s deputies had served a search warrant on the home and arrested Mr. Williams after he attempted to flee the residence through a bedroom window.

A search of the residence led to a variety of drugs and drug paraphernalia including multiple scales, a marijuana grinder, and a fully loaded .357 Revolver.

The drugs found included Marijuana, Heroin, Ecstasy, Powder Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and Crack Cocaine.

During the search, deputies also found a purse belonging to a Tonya Fowler.

Inside the purse, they found multiple empty pill bottles, one bottle with Clonazepam, and drug paraphernalia.

The prescription bottles did not belong to Miss Fowler or Mr. Williams. 

Miss Fowler was not home at the time of the search warrant being executed.

She was arrested after returning to the home.

Roger Williams was charged with the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia  

He will also face various drug possession charges. 

Mr. Williams also had outstanding warrants for Sale of a controlled substance, Kidnapping to Inflict Bodily Harm or Terrorize, Attempted Sexual Battery, and Failure to appear.


Tonya Fowler is being charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.
