Gulf Council Schedules a Public Hearing on Charter Vessel and Headboat Reporting Requirements via Webinar
 
The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has scheduled a public hearing webinar to gather public comments on the Generic Charter Vessel and Headboat Reporting Requirements Amendment. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, beginning at 6 p.m. and ending no later than 9 p.m. EDT.
 
The meeting will begin with a presentation on the draft amendment which considers changing the method, frequency, and required data reported by for-hire operators with charter/headboat Reef Fish or Coastal Migratory Pelagic permits. Immediately following, staff will open the meeting for questions and take public comments.

About the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council
The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council is one of eight regional Fishery Management Councils established by the Fishery Conservation and Management Act of 1976. The Council prepares fishery management plans, which are designed to manage fishery resources within the 200-mile limit of the Gulf of Mexico.
