Coast Guard medevacs person near Destin after allergic reaction to lionfish
NEW ORLEANS — A Coast Guard response boat crew medevaced a person near Destin, Florida, Monday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report at 5:28 p.m. Monday about a person aboard a pleasure craft who suffered from an allergic reaction to being stung by a lionfish.
A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Destin recovered the patient and transferred him to emergency medical services at Station Destin.
The patient was reported to be in stable condition.
