The Duke Energy Foundation has made a $1 million donation to help Florida communities through COVID-19 initiatives and education grants

The Duke Energy Foundation has made a $1 million donation to help Florida communities through COVID-19 initiatives and education grants.
Over 50 groups will share in the money including the Education Foundation of Gulf County which was awarded 10 thousand dollars.
The funds will support energy, engineering and environmental educational initiatives.
The Jefferson County Educational Foundation was also awarded 10 thousand dollars.

Duke Energy Florida has taken additional steps to support customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, including not disconnecting service due to nonpayment and waiving late payment and returned payment fees.
