If you are 18 or older, you are eligible to get your COVID-19 vaccine beginning today.
COVID-19 vaccinations are available at the Health departments in Apalachicola and Port St. Joe.
You can schedule your first shot by calling The Health Department in Apalachicola at 653-2111 or in Gulf County at 227-1276.
If you live in Wewahitchka you can also take part in a vaccination event with PanCare this Thursday from 9:00 am-2:30pm central time.
You can pre-register at www.pancarefl.org.
As of Saturday, Franklin County has seen 1263 COVID cases since the pandemic began and 17 deaths.
The Department of Health reports our positivity rate at 5 percent – the state average is 6 percent.
Gulf County has seen 1920 cases and 42 deaths with a positivity rate of 6 percent.
