 Franklin County unemployment fell slightly in April to 4.1 percent – it was 4.2 percent in March

That means 202 people were out of work out of a workforce of 4,983 people.

15 of Florida's 67 counties had lower unemployment rates than ours in April including Wakulla County which had the third lowest unemployment rate in the state at 3.5 percent.

Gulf County unemployment was unchanged between March and April at 4.1 percent with 215 people out of work there.

Liberty County unemployment rose in April from 4.3 to 4.8 percent.
