Special Exhibit: Honoring Our Veterans
Thru Sunday, May 30

The Carrabelle History Museum reminds you to come learn the stories of some of our area’s military veterans during a special exhibit on display through Sunday May 30th. This temporary exhibit pays tribute to several local men who served, some of whom also sacrificed, in our country’s armed forces. The exhibit honors five men from Carrabelle representing WW1, WW2, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Willie F. Grice (WW1)
Walter J. Mallett (WW2)
Dr. George Sands (WW2)
Claude L. Stokes (Korean)
Robert “Cliff” Millender (Vietnam)

A heartfelt thank you to the families of these men for sharing their stories with us and entrusting us with the care of some cherished items. A big thank you as well to Lisa Keith-Lucas and Camp Gordon Johnston WW2 Museum for their assistance in making this happen!

The Carrabelle History Museum is open on Wednesday from 12-5 pm, Thursday to Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm and Sunday from 12- 5 pm.
