As COVID cases continue to rise across our area, health officials recommend that people get tested for the virus.

There are a number of locations in Franklin and Gulf Counties where you can get tested for COVID, but some locations take longer than others and many require that you are an established patient.

Nomi Health provides Rapid Antigen and Send out PCR tests outside of Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and in Carrabelle at 106 5th street on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

They also provide tests in Gulf County at 2475 Garrison Avenue in Port Saint Joe on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and at 807 Hwy 22 in Wewahitchka on Tuesday and Thursday.

You can pre-register for those tests on-line at http://testing.nomihealth.com/signup/fl

You will also find that link on the Franklin County website at franklincountyflorida.com

Pre- registering gets you in and out quickly and makes it easier on everyone.

Other Franklin County locations for COVID testing include George E Weems Hospital 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a physician order only for outpatient, or through the ER at any time if seen fit by ER physician.

You can also get them at Sacred Heart in Apalachicola, at Weems East Clinic in Carrabelle and at Weems West Clinic in Apalachicola.

The tests are also available at the North Florida Medical Center in Eastpoint for established patients only.

Testing sites in Gulf County include Ascension Sacred Heart Gulf 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a physician order, or through the ER at any time if seen fit by ER physician.

The tests are also available at CVS in Port St. Joe and at the North Florida Medical Center in Wewahitchka.
