Franklin County is purchasing some land in Eastpoint across from the Eastpoint boat ramp and waterfront park.
The parcel is 104 feet wide and 241 feet long and reaches from Highway 98 to Patton Drive.
The county commission on Tuesday agreed to pay about 182 thousand dollars for the lot which is adjacent to a county parking area for the boat ramp.
The money is coming from the Franklin County Tourist Development Council.
The closing on the purchase will be held on Friday.
