2009 Red Cross Hurricane Survival Guide now available

The American Red Cross 2009 Hurricane Survival Guide will be available throughout Franklin County beginning Thursday. The guide contains valuable information on planning for and surviving a hurricane, including evacuation routes, contact information for emergency management offices and hurricane storm surge maps. It also tells you how to make a hurricane survival kit, and what to do to protect your home from strong winds and high water. The guide will be provided as an insert in this week’s Apalachicola Times newspaper. It will also be available at local post offices and at the county courthouse and at some real estate offices in the county. Or for those of you who have a computer, you can just check out the guide on the internet. You can find the link for the 2009 Hurricane Survival Guide at oysterradio.com.
