Franklin County EOC seeks people to become Ham radio operators
The Franklin County Emergency Management Office is looking for people interested in becoming Ham radio operators. They are looking for people of all ages who are interested in getting a Ham radio license, as well as those who may already hold a license but wish to upgrade or renew it. They would also like current Ham Radio operators to act as teachers or just to share some time with a new generation of amateur radio operators. The EOC says that Ham Radio is not only a fun hobby, but can also provide a local network for emergency communications and public service during natural disasters. If you are interested in learning more about the Ham radio program, contact Mike Rundel or Ron Page at the Franklin County Emergency Operations Center at 653-8977.
