Florida Seafood Festival names its queen

The Florida Seafood Festival has its queen. Franklin County High School junior Isabel Pateritsas is this year’s Miss Florida Seafood. She is the daughter of Callie Nichols of Apalachicola. She was crowned on Saturday by last year’s queen Sara Ward after a pageant held at the Franklin County school. Isabel was one of 7 girls vying for the title. During the pageant she also won the talent competition for her rendition of the Hillary Duff song “Someone is Watching Over Me”. 1st runner up this year was Shelby Shiver. Madelin Zambrano was Miss Congeniality. Miss Pateritsas will reign over this year’s Festival and participate in festival events such as the oyster eating contest & blessing of the fleet. She will also be making numerous TV and parade appearances over the coming weeks to publicize the Seafood Festival which will be held November 6th and 7th in Apalachicola.
