Claudette forces portion of bay to close to oyster harvesting

A portion of the Apalachicola Bay is closed to Oyster Harvesting today after heavy rains from Tropical Storm Claudette drenched our area Sunday. The Department of Agriculture closed the conditionally approved Summer North area of the bay at sunset on Sunday. That is area 1652. The area will remain closed while biologists test water quality at the site.
