Franklin County is now into its 6th week with no swimming advisories. The Health Department said water samples taken from five of the 6 beaches tested in Franklin County last week came back clean. There were moderate levels of the enterococcus bacteria found in the waters at Alligator Point but concentrations were not high enough to issue an advisory. There were also no swimming advisories issued for Mash’s Island or Shell Point in Wakulla County last week or for any of the 6 locations tested in Gulf County.
