Governor names new member to GCCC board of directors

Governor Charlie Crist has re-appointed one member and named a new one to the Board of Trustees for Gulf Coast Community College. The governor re-appointed 48 year old Dan A. Estes of Lynn Haven to the board. Estes is a self-employed private investigator. The new member is 54 year old Shirley Jenkins of Port St. Joe. Jenkins is the Gulf County tax collector. She replaces J. Allen Cox. Both members terms began September the 2nd and ends on May 31st, 2013. The 11 member Board of Trustees is the legal entity for Gulf Coast Community College- the board sets policies and oversees operations at the school. Franklin County’s representative to the board is Denise Butler of Eastpoint.
