Florida state park system now tweeting

If you use Twitter, you can now keep up with events at Florida’s State Parks. The Florida Park Service this week launched a Twitter account that will allow direct communication between Florida’s state parks and their millions of visitors. The Park service plans to use Twitter to alert residents and visitors of special events, offers and happenings in their local state park. That includes Photos and questions of the week, Exclusive discounts only for Twitter followers, Free admission weekends, Links to podcasts and Web cam footage and Emergency weather conditions and closures all in 140 characters or less. To follow Florida’s state parks on Twitter, visit www.twitter.com/FLStateParks.
