National Geographic says Apalachicola a great place to retire

If you are looking for a good place to retire – it turns out you are already there. The National Geographic Adventure magazine says Apalachicola is a great choice for the active retiree. As they put it, “This isn’t the Florida your aunt’s bunco group retired to.” Instead of playing shuffleboard, retirees to Apalachicola can spend their days kayaking the Forgotten Coast barrier islands, fishing for redfish and tarpon, or hiking through the Apalachicola National Forest.
