The Franklin County commission will have a long day Tuesday. The board will meet at 9 tomorrow morning with a full agenda that includes considering appointments to the Weems Memorial Hospital board. The commission will also consider a recommendation from the county Planning and Zoning board to deny a commercial development for St. George Island and to initiate a moratorium for any new commercial developments on the island. Commissioners will also get an update from its Tourist Development Council, they will open bids for construction work at the Lombardi Seafood Park in Apalachicola and they will hold a discussion of programs currently being offered at the Carrabelle health department. At 2 PM the commission will reconvene to hold a disciplinary hearing for a road camp worker. Both meetings will be held at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola – they are open to the public.
