Franklin County names November as Big Bend Hospice month

Franklin County Commissioners have agreed to name November as Big Bend Hospice Month. The commission approved a resolution in support of hospice on Tuesday. This month is actually the 26th anniversary of the group with provides compassionate care to people with life limiting illnesses and their families. The group has helped over 1600 patients just in the last year with services ranging from pain control to 24 hour nursing. Big Bend Hospice serves a number of North Florida counties including Franklin, Leon, Liberty and Wakulla counties. The group will also hold a tree of remembrance ceremony in Apalachicola on Sunday, November the 29th. That ceremony will be held at 3 PM at Riverfront Park in Apalachicola as a way to remember friends and family who have passed away.
