H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine now available at Franklin County Health Department

The Franklin County Health Department now has doses of the swine flu vaccine. The vaccine is available now for people in priority populations which include Pregnant women; People who live with or care for infants who are less than 6 months old; Healthcare or emergency medical personnel; Children and young adults aged six months to 24 years; and Persons between 25 and 64 years old with high-risk medical conditions. If you fall under one of those categories it’s recommended you get the swine flu vaccine as soon as possible. To get the vaccination, please contact the Health Department at 850.653.2111. Vaccinations will be given in Apalachicola and Carrabelle. All Swine Flu Vaccinations are voluntary and free of charge.
