Southwest Airlines said it will offer non-stop flights from Panama City to Nashville, Houston, Baltimore and Orlando beginning next May. The company made the announcement Wednesday at a press conference at Panama City beach.
The flights will begin on May the 23rd with the opening of the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport at Panama City beach. There will be two daily flights to each city. The airline announced that the flights will begin with very low prices of $49 each way to Orlando and $69 each way to Baltimore/Washington, Houston, and Nashville with a 14-day advance purchase.
In addition to the eight daily nonstop flights, Southwest Airlines will offer direct or connecting service to more than 58 destinations from Panama City Beach, including Dallas and Chicago. Southwest Airlines will operate from Gate 3 at the new Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport with approximately 30-35 Employees who will call the region home.
