People who are looking for retraining might be able to get help through the Gulf Coast Workforce Board. The Board is providing scholarships and transportation to and from Haney Technical center in Panama City.
There are a number of programs for which people can get scholarships including nursing programs, medical billing and coding, aviation maintenance, welding, and auto mechanics.
There are a few other programs available, you can get more information by calling 1-800-311-3685 extension 3573. Scholarship applications are available at the Franklin County public libraries and the Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce.
