FranklinCounty sends thanks to Suwannee County for recent assistance

Franklin County Commissioners have sent a letter of thanks to Suwannee County officials for collecting food and money for local seafood workers.

The Suwannee County sheriff and emergency management officials delivered loads of food and home supplies to Franklin County on March the 11th. The groups had held a food drive to help Franklin County seafood workers and their families many of whom have been without regular work because of the number of bay closures over the past four months because of freezing temperatures and flooding.

Franklin County Commissioners Tuesday agreed to send a letter of thanks to the Suwannee County Emergency Management Office and the Suwannee County sheriff’s office. They also sent the message that if Suwannee County ever needs assistance all they have to do is call and Franklin County will help.
