St. Joe Company moving its headquarters to Bay County

After 75 years in Jacksonville, the St. Joe Company announced this week that it is moving its corporate headquarters to Bay County.

The company said it plans to relocate its headquarters to Phase I of the Company's West Bay Sector Plan development adjacent to the new Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. The company said the new location will provide the Company with a location central to its numerous residential communities and commercial properties under development.

The St. Joe Company owns about 577,000 acres, primarily in Northwest Florida
The Company will consolidate offices from Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Port St. Joe and South Walton County into the new location. The company has about 200 employees total.

Construction of the approximately 50,000 square foot office building is scheduled to begin this summer. Relocation of the Company's headquarters and personnel should be completed by the summer of 2011.
