The U.S. Small Business Administration offices which were opened in our area after the BP oil gusher will close this week because of a steady decrease of activity.
The Business Recovery Centers established in Franklin, Gulf, Santa Rosa, Wakulla and Walton counties will close on Wednesday, September the 29th, at 5 p.m.
The SBA is offering Economic Injury Disaster Loans to small businesses affected by the Deepwater BP Oil Spill.
Interest rates on the loans are 3 percent for non-profit organizations and 4 percent for businesses with terms up to 30 years.
Businesses will continue to be eligible for the assistance February 14th, 2011.
Business owners unable to visit one of the Centers can get applications and program information by sending an e-mail to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
The SBA will have three remaining Business Recovery Centers in Florida in Bay County, in Escambia County, and in Okaloosa County.
