The Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan program has been extended for 7 north Florida counties for another month.
Counties that will continue to be eligible for the assistance until October the 27th are Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Gulf and Franklin.
The Bridge Loan Program was activated to provide short-term interest-free loans of up to $25,000 to owners of small businesses of less than 100 employees in counties impacted the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
The emergency loans are designed to help small businesses meet their immediate financial obligations until long-term claims are processed.
To be eligible, a business owner must have been operational for one full year prior to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill on April 20, 2010, and demonstrate physical damage or economic injury as a result of the oil spill.
Businesses which would like to learn more about the program or get an application should go on-line to www.floridaoilhelp.com for details.
