DEP'S APALACHICOLA NATIONAL ESTUARINE RESEARCH RESERVE TO HOLD ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION WORKSHOP


Port St. Joe – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve (ANERR) will hold a workshop entitled Ecological Restoration Principles and their Application beginning Tuesday, November 20 through Friday, December 3. The four-day ecological restoration class will be taught by Dr. Andre Clewell, an international leader on the subject.

The workshop will provide resource managers with an understanding of the principles of ecological restoration, including special considerations and information on restoring specific habitats. The workshop will take place in the classroom as well as a number of field sites.

The workshop cost is $75 per person which includes all materials, snacks and lunches, and transportation to field sites. Lunch will not be included on day four. Pre-registration is required. To register, visit www.gulfalliancetraining.org and click “upcoming workshops.”
