Franklin County’s legislative delegation will be in Franklin County on Thursday to hear from the public and from local government representatives.
The delegation, which includes state representatives Leonard Bembry and Jimmy Patronis and State Senator Bill Montford, will be here to discuss issues of interest to elected officials and the general public.
The hearings are valuable in making legislators aware of the concerns and needs of Franklin County before the new legislative session begins next March.
Generally the hearings also offer a chance for Franklin County to request state money for local projects, but there likely won’t be much this year.
The legislature is facing a tight budget again this year.
If you plan to attend the legislative delegation hearing, it will be held on Thursday, January the 6th beginning at 4 PM at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
