FWC recognizes Franklin County nature photographer

Local wildlife photographer John Spohrer was recognized by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission this week.
The FWC recognizes Florida artists when possible.
Commission Chairman Rodney Barreto said the commission tries to identify a local artist who portrays the great wildlife and fish resources of an area through pencil, painting and bronze.
He added that John does this and more through his incredible photography.
Spohrer is a Florida Master Naturalist and a member of the North American Nature Photography Association.
His photographs depicting the area’s wild creatures and wild places have won numerous awards.
He has also written two books about Florida’s Forgotten Coast, which includes Gulf, Franklin and Wakulla counties.
