Speed limit to be lowered in Port St. Joe

It will take a little longer to get through Port St. Joe beginning this week.
Beginning Friday, the speed limit on Highway 98 through much of the town will be lowered.
The speed limit will drop from 45 to 35 miles an hour from the beginning of the four-lane at Avenue D to the Piggly Wiggly shopping center at Howards Road.
The speed reduction comes at the request of Gulf County officials.
