Wakulla County Sheriff’s Officers are investigating a drowning in Sopchoppy.
The sheriff’s office said the body of 66-year-old Collene Crawford Avery was found in a pond on her property on Dusty Lane on Monday.Miss Crawford’s daughter made the discovery just after 2 o’clock Monday afternoon and called 911.
Authorities don’t suspect foul play but the cause of death is still being determined.
They believe Miss Crawford may have died while feeding fish in the pond.
