Apalachicola high school graduate killed in apparent murder-suicide
An Apalachicola High School graduate was killed Monday in Tallahassee in an apparent murder/suicide.
The Tallahassee Police Department said 37 year old Theresa Sullivan was shot by her ex-boyfriend, 45 year-old Donald Wigglesworth, before he turned the gun on himself.
The shooting happened at 9:35 Monday morning at Miss Sullivan’s home in Tallahassee.
Police say that Miss Sullivan and Mr. Wigglesworth had been involved in a relationship for the past three years, at one point living together.
The relationship ended within the last few months.
Theresa had agreed to meet Wigglesworth at her home Tuesday so that he could retrieve personal belongings.
Investigators believe that during the meeting the two got into an argument during which it appears Wigglesworth shot Sullivan and then shot himself.
Both were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
Theresa Sullivan was a 1992 graduate of Apalachicola High School, she lived in Tallahassee where she worked for the state.
