The Franklin County Health Department is nearly ready to move out of the old School Board building and back into their own offices.
Health department workers had to move out of the 10 year old building in early 2009 after it was discovered that high humidity in the building was causing mold to form.
Since that time the department has operated from the old Chapman building.
Health Department chief Wesley Tyce said the repairs, which included renovations to the existing duct work and scouring the building of mold is now mostly complete.
There are still a few minor jobs to finish, but the most recent air quality report said the air in the building in clean.
Mister Tyce said if all goes well the Health Department should be back in its own building in May.
