Highway patrol on the hunt for drunk drivers during chili cookoff

There will be more Highway Patrol officers than usual on Franklin County roads on Saturday as state officers crack down on drunk driving.

The Florida Highway Patrol will hold saturation patrols, otherwise known as wolf packs, on Franklin County roads during chili cookoff on St. George Island.

They will be focusing on removing drunk drivers from the roads as well as educating the public about the dangers of impaired driving.

The saturation patrols will be held throughout the day.

If you see someone driving erratically on local roads you can contact the Highway Patrol from your cell phone at star-FHP.
