Emergency crews to take part in overturned bus exercise

Local emergency officials will hold a training exercise this summer where they will have to deal with an overturned school bus.
Local sheriff’s officials and city police along with fire departments, EMTs and school employees will take part in the exercise.
The training class will be offered through the Emergency Management Office and should provide a realistic situation to prepare emergency responders for the worst.
A similar exercise last year included nearly 35 local law enforcement and emergency response personnel as well as a cast of local students and teachers.
