Governor names two members to GCCC Board of Trustees
Governor Rick Scott has named two new members to the Board of Trustees for Gulf Coast Community College.
The governor named James P. Norton of Port St. Joe and Joe K. Tannehill Jr. of Panama City to the board.
Mister Norton is the senior vice president and senior trust officer for Vision Bank.
He succeeds William Sumner.
Mister Tannehill is the president and chief executive officer of Merrick Industries Inc.
He succeeds Stephen
Both men’s terms end in 2014.
The 11 member Board of Trustees is the legal entity for Gulf Coast Community College- the board sets policies and oversees operations at the school.
Franklin County’s representative to the board is Denise Butler of Eastpoint.
