It should be another beautiful weekend for swimming in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Department of Health said all of the popular beaches in Franklin, Gulf and Wakulla counties are showing good water quality again this week.
There are no swimming advisories in effect for any beaches in the three counties this weekend, though moderate amounts of the enterococcus bacteria were found at Lookout Beach and St. Joe Monument Beach in Gulf County.
The Florida Department of Health takes weekly water samples swimming area around Florida, including 6 locations in Franklin County and Gulf County and 2 in Wakulla County to make sure there are no dangerous bacteria in the water.
You can see water sample results from beaches across Florida from the Department of Health’s healthy beaches website – which is linked to the news page at oysterradio.com.
