Safe Boating Course will be held on St. George Island


The US Coast Guard Auxiliary will hold a safe boating course on St. george Island on Saturday.

The class will be taught at the Pine Street Fire Station from 8:30 to 5.

It will cover topics ranging from safe boating to how to handle boating emergencies and even how to enjoy water sports safely.

People finishing the course will also qualify for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s boat operator ID card.

The course is not free; it costs 30 dollars for 1 person, or 50 dollars for a family.
