A Panacea couple was arrested Wednesday for burglary and grand theft after one of the suspects admitted that she and her boyfriend had broken into a house near their own home.
26 year old Bonnie Church and 29 year old John Douglas Dixon were arrested after Miss Church admitted to breaking into a home in Panacea owned by an 84-year-old Jacksonville woman. The two took about a thousand dollars worth of property including televisions, DVD players, fishing equipment and toilet paper.
They also broke a window which added criminal mischief to the charges.
The homeowner didn’t even know she had been burgled until Wakulla County investigators called her in Jacksonville to tell her.
