Apalachicola saw record temperature on Wednesday


If it’s felt a little warmer this week than the month of May should, that because it was – at least on Wednesday.
A record high temperature of 98 degrees was measured at the Apalachicola airport on Wednesday.
That breaks the previous high of 92 degrees that was set back in 1953.
Tallahassee also saw a record high temperature on Wednesday at 103 degrees.
That broke the 101 degree record set in 1927.
That’s nearly the hottest its ever been in Tallahassee.
The official all-time high temperature for Tallahassee is 104 degrees which has been hit 5 times in the past – the last time was in 1933.
