Franklin County children eligible for free meals this summer

The Franklin County School system and Project Impact will take part in the summer food service program again this summer.

The program provides free breakfasts and lunches to any Franklin County children under the age of 18 regardless of race, color, sex, disability or national origin.

The program is available because more than half of Franklin County’s students qualify for the free school lunch program.

The program will begin on June 14th.

Food will be provided at a number of locations including the old Apalachicola High School building, The Learning Center in Eastpoint, The Franklin County School and the Carrabelle Municipal Complex.

Breakfasts will be offered from 8 till 9 AM and lunch from 12 till 1 at all locations.
