Overturned school bus rescue training to take place Friday on Highway 65
Local emergency officials will hold a training exercise tomorrow where they will have to deal with an overturned school bus.
The exercise will be held from 10 till 1 on Friday at the large field north of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Highway 65.
Participants will include EMS, School Officials, local fire departments, law enforcement, emergency management and Weems Hospital.
Students and teachers from the ABC school and the Franklin County school will also help out.
The training class should provide a realistic situation to train emergency responders for the worst.
A similar exercise last year which was based around a school shooting included nearly 35 local law enforcement and emergency response personnel as well as a cast of local students and teachers.
