Port St. Joe hosts Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend through Sunday


Port St. Joe is hosting the "Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend" today through Sunday.
The event is a way to honor America’s armed forces.
As part of the event, 10 war injured servicemen from the Army/Navy/Air Force/Marines will be in Port St. Joe through Sunday for a weekend of tournament fishing and local hospitality.
There will be a motorcade and parade today at 5:30 from The Port Inn down Long Ave to the Centennial Building and again on Friday morning at 11:00AM from the Port Inn down Reid Avenue to First Street onto Marina Drive
The soldiers will begin the Warrior Offshore Shootout Fishing Tournament at noon from the Port St. Joe Marina and will return at 5 for the weigh-in.
As part of the Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend activities there will also be a Boat Show at the PSJ Marina Friday and Saturday along with live music and family activities.
