Panacea man injured in 1 car accident

A Panacea man was seriously injured in a one car accident in Wakulla County on Tuesday.
The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office said 36 year old Jason Robert Guimond of Panacea was critically injured when he was ejected from his vehicle after it flipped into a wooded area along Highway 98 just south of Panacea.
Mister Guimond was two miles south of Panacea traveling southwest when he ran off the west side of the road, overcorrected, skidded back across the road sideways and rolled his Toyota.
The vehicle came to final rest approximately 75 feet in the tree line resting on its side with the driver ejected into the bed of the truck.
The LifeNet helicopter transported Guimond to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The Toyota was destroyed and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
