The drivers’ license office in Port St. Joe will shut its doors this month.
The state-operated driver license office on Library Drive will close forever on June 30, 2011, at 5 p.m.
After that people will have to go to the driver license office in Bay County for license renewals, replacements and reinstatements, as well as written and driving exams.
There are also offices in Calhoun and Liberty counties, run by the state and local tax collectors.
Nowadays a lot of the work can also be done over the internet.
Driver license business can be conducted online at www.GoRenew.com, where customers can renew their driver licenses, ID cards and vehicle tags, as well as change their address.
