Franklin County Commissioners officially accepted the county’s new 911 coordinator last week.
Long time coordinator Pat McWhinnie recently retired – that job is now held by Ida Renee Brannon.
The state requires that the county commission officially accept the 911 coordinator by motion.
The letter accepting Miss Brannon to the job is then sent to the state 911 office so everything is official.
