Firemen were busy Sunday afternoon after a fire broke out at the Eastpoint apartments on Begonia Street.
No one was injured in the fire it was contained to a bedroom and hallway in one unit.
The fire was traced to faulty wiring in a bedroom.
Eastpoint fire chief George Pruett said the fire did not breach the firewall to affect any other residents of the complex.
It did, however, melt the bedroom and all of the plastic items in it.
The fire was reported just after 6 yesterday afternoon – Eastpoint firefighters finished the bulk of their work by 8.
