Florida makes it easier to get hotel and restaurant licenses

Getting a license for a hotel or restaurant in Florida has just gotten easier.

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation has announced an upgrade to its license application process, which allows the majority of applications for food service and lodging establishments to be completed online.

The new service allows business owners to apply online for all food service, hotel, motel, apartment and rooming house licenses.

The Department is also offering a complete option for online plan review submittal, including the application, fees and all supporting documents.

This will allow the state to get the entire application immediately, and applicants will get instant email verification of their application once the transaction has been successfully completed.
