County commissioners have asked that signs be put up at DW Wilson Park in Apalachicola asking dog owners to keep their pets under control.
Commissioner Smokey Parrish said he has received a number of animal related complaints from people who use the walking track at the park.
He said the complaints include people letting their dog or many cases dogs run loose in the park – that not only scares some walkers but can also lead to messy shoes.
County parks and recreation chief Van Johnson said he will have signs put up as soon as possible at the gate entrances on both sides of the park.
